After being in Kyrgyzstan for a few weeks and asking local people what their favourite areas are, it was clear that there was one place that everyone loved. Welcome to Altyn-Arashan!

This place is incredible and easily accessible from the town of Karakol, east of Issy-Kul Lake. We took the 5-hour hike from the start of the trail and had some pretty horrendous weather. We eventually reached the top and managed to find a spare yurt to camp in for the evening.

With the snow capped mountains getting closer and closer, and the temperature dropping, it was time to find the local hot springs so that we could warm up.

We really did have an amazing experience here and we can't wait to finally share this with you.
