Shibuya Sky is an observatory located next to the famous Shibuya crosswalk, so it’s located in one of the most popular areas of Tokyo. It offers multiple levels of panoramic views of Tokyo (on a clear day, you can even see Mt. Fuji). Here are some tips for your visit:
🏙️ You should purchase tickets online because not only are they cheaper, but you can select a timed entry that falls during sunset — which is totally the best time to go.
🏙️ As you can see, I wasn’t able to book far enough in advance, so I had to go in the afternoon before my flight home. The sunset slots book up quickly, so I recommend booking as early as 4 weeks in advance! Be sure to google what time sunset would be during your visit.
🏙️ There isn’t a time limit once you’re in, so you can hang out for as long as you’d like. Be sure to check out the bar on the inside lower level. A limited food menu is also available.
🏙️ Wear pants because it can get super windy up at the top.
🏙️ The inside lower level also has art exhibits, so be sure to check those out too!
Shibuya Sky is one of those experiences that I’ll have to re-do so that I can catch it during sunset. Have you visited or plan to?
