For those interested in nature spirituality, trees have always held wisdom and been considered sacred. Each Ogham rune symbol derives its name from Celtic mythology and metaphorical tree meanings.
While many pagans, witches, or those interested in nature spirituality use the Ogham symbols for divination, there is no evidence stating these were the actual or intended uses. Oghams were often used as an Irish alphabet, to mark graves, indicating land borders, and connect with nature or ancestors.
Oghams are full of symbolism and spiritual magic, and their meanings can hold many different messages. It’s essential to understand and respect those who have used them over the years. Oghams are sacred and impactful to those who used them (and continue to use them) for spells, sigils, and magic. They help you to connect with the energy of each tree and the spirit of nature.
