Despite ongoing legal battles challenging the legitimacy of Nigeria's president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the country's information minister Lai Mohammed, revealed that the may 29 inauguration ceremony will proceed as scheduled, even as court proceedings continue.
Recall that the Chairman of the Presidential Transition Council, PTC, and Secretary to Government of the Federation SGF, Boss Mustapha, had previously disclosed that the transition process is on course and all efforts are being made to ensure that there is a smooth and peaceful formal transfer of power to the new president on May 29.
