This simple Arabic rice pilaf is made and eaten with just about everything. We call it "Ruz w sha3rieh" and the "sha3rieh" means little thin noodles which we use vermicelli noodles for. I use my homemade samneh to toast them up and give the pilaf a delicious, savory flavor!

Ingredients:
1 ½ tablespoons samneh, ghee or butter
½ cup shariyeh (vermicelli noodles)
1 ½ cups long grain rice, rinsed well
2 ½ cups water
Salt to taste
