Participle clauses enable us to say things in a more economical way - with fewer words.
We mainly use participle clauses in written English, particularly in an academic or journalistic style.
There are 3 types of participle clauses:
Present participle clauses
Past participle clauses (mainly used in passive voice)
Perfect participle clauses ("having" + past participle. Can be used in active voice or passive voice)
