For many of us, Kevin Conroy is the definitive Batman. Growing up Batman: The Animated Series was on every afternoon at 5pm. I loved it as a kid and as I got older and studied design and animation I appreciated what they did with that show even more. Hand-painted cell animations on black acrylic backgrounds. So beautiful and something we’ve lost. So when I saw Mr Conroy on the Nerdist podcast doing a cold read of Christian Bale’s speech from the end of the Dark Knight I wanted to see what that could have looked like on the animated series. So I broke out my dvd’s of it, ripped them onto my computer and overlaid them to the speech audio. Hope you enjoy watching it as much as enjoyed making it!
