The Grand L Series 3560 Cab unit with a BH92 Backhoe is an awesome piece of equipment.

Unlike true Industrial Grade Kubota TLB units, the Grand L3560 takes a few liberties with its design to allow a Grand L CAB version to function with all of the other implements that can make it a multi-function tool like a dedicated TLB.

The BH92 on the Grand L Series (or M5400 Cab Series) requires that you use a seat on the Backhoe versus a dual use seat. The unit is not large enough on the interior to provide for a dual use seat for both Tractor and Backhoe.

This does put limitations on the use of the Backhoe in inclement weather... but it does allow for the flexibility of having a Heavy Duty 9'2" excavation depth Backhoe with plenty of power for an extended set of tasks.

Having put probably 50 hours on the Backhoe, and more than 400 hours on the Grand L in the last 14 months in all kinds of environmental and vegetation conditions, I have found some areas on the Backhoe that could use some changes both by Kubota, and by myself.

Items I will adjust for more durability and comfort are the mounting locations of the Factory rear caution/Flashing/Turn lights, the location of the Seat for the BH92.

As for Kubota, they could make changes to the Backhoe extension bracket necessary when installing the BH92 on Cab versions of the series that the BH92 mounts to.

That extension mount, in order to make it less a point of constant maintenance via torque specs, could be addressed with welding "stop point fitting abutments" to the extension that prevent the torsional slip at those mating boss surfaces due to the weak tolerances on the mating holes/bolts. It's good to mention here that the Torque specifications DO NOT provide torsional flexion prevention at this connecting point. There is way too much of a moment about this point between the backhoe forces and solid the tractor frame mount to prevent this movement with basic compression style assembly mechanisms.

Additionally Kubota could provide closer tolerances on the bolt holes/bolts that complete the mating surfaces of the bracket to the BH92 Base frame assembly. Either could work as a solution to this continual movement/wear situation while under load.
