Myroslav Shkandrij’s Volodymyr Viatrovych’s Second Polish-Ukrainian War, is a paper that explores and highlights the renowned controversies of Volodymyr Viatrovych’s work on the Polish-Ukrainian conflict during WWII. Viatrovych questions the Volhynia conflict as being a genocide, provides inadequate discussion on the Holocaust, and lacks of criticism of the UPA(b) among other controversial arguments found in his paper. Two main strategies of the papers argumentation, as argued by Shkandrij, is framing violence as the result of war and liberation struggle, and secondly, altering and diminishing the appraisals made by prominent historians. #DanyliwSeminar2016
