At least 22 people have been declared dead Monday after a fire broke out at a lithium battery factory in the city of Hwaseong in South Korea, according to Hwaseong Fire Department official Kim Jin-young.
Among the dead, two are Koreans and 20 are foreigners, majority of which are Chinese nationals, Kim said.
Fire fighters are conducting second round of search as a company official said one of their workers is out of contact, and it is unknown if this worker was inside the factory at the time of the fire, Kim added.
