BMW is launching car sharing in Portland September 19th 2016. Here's my experience with a preview ride. [ Ссылка ]
Reach Now is like Car2Go, but with nicer cars. They have BMW328i's and i3's (the electric BMW SUV) and they have a variety of Mini Coopers. This is definitely an upgraded car sharing experience.
They should have 400 cars in Portland soon and the coverage area is similar to Car2Go.
ReachNow is only in Portland and Seattle right now, but is growing - and they have a sister service in Europe.
I love the idea of having so many transportation options in Portland: Light Rail, Buses, Personal Cars, 5 types of Car Sharing, Uber, Lyft, Taxis, Shared Bikes, Personal Bikes and my own two feet.
I'm excited to try one of the i3 electrics. I've seen some around town, but the shared ones aren't here yet. BMW added a little gas engine to recharge the battery when it's running low.
My only complaint: the app is a little slow. Especially when trying to lock the car. It's not fun to stand next to a car for 1-2 minutes waiting for the locks to engage.
