Guru Purnima is a religious festival, devoted to paying tribute to and seeking blessings from all the spiritual and academic gurus. According to the Hindu Calendar, it is observed on the full moon day of the month of Ashaad (June–July). As Veda Vyasa's birthday is celebrated on this day, it is also known as Vyasa Purnima. Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists all commemorate it as an occasion in India, Nepal, and Bhutan.
The Sanskrit word "guru" means "mentor," "guide," "expert," or "master." It is a privilege to recognize and honor the extraordinary gurus and teachers who have had a positive influence on our life. Hence Guru Purnima is celebrated with utmost joy and respect.
Lehja Art Foundation, celebrated their Guru Purnima on the 5th of July 2023 by following the age old tradition. All students of Lehja participated with equal enthusiasm in this celebration. Beginning with the worship of lord Nataraja, followed by worshiping lord Ganesha, our ghungroos, taal Mala and all the official documents that we require in for our everyday classes.
Post that, all the batches performed basic tatkaar and were taught something new by our guru Sheetal Kapole tai.
The celebration concluded by seeking blessings from our guru.
