Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a brief look at this Durabilt 20-foot-long transport chain with grab hooks. With this 20-foot-long chain, you're gonna be able to secure heavy loads to your trailer. This chain is ideal for load binding, tie-downs, towing, and logging. Now, this does come with these grab hooks that are going to securely connect to anchor points. And these grab hooks, as you can see, are on either end. And the clevis ends are going to let you easily relocate the hooks to shorten the chain without permanently altering it.
So you're just going to remove these clips on the ends of these pins, and then you can easily relocate these grab hooks. Now, this chain is constructed of durable, corrosion-resistant, zinc-plated, grade 70, heat-treated carbon steel, making it ideal for stabilizing heavy loads. It is manufactured to NACM, CCMTA, and Department of Transportation requirements. And the safe working load limit is 4,700 pounds. The link thickness is 5/16 of an inch.
And again, the length of this chain is 20 feet long. And just another note to make is tie-down chains must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the chains being used. For example, if you are using chains with a working load limit of 4,000 pounds each to tie down a load weighing 8,000 pounds, then you need at least two chains to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use chains in pairs.
Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
