FAQ/the most important info about this series:

1) "Bro didn't hear about X Boss".

I know the title of this series is controversial (I wish it wasn't, Friede deserves MUCH more praise than she ever get), but it's my series and I respect that you can find some Bosses better than Friede and there is nothing bad about it, but I expect the same from all of you. I have played through all of these games multiple times and haven't found a single Boss that surpasses or at least matches her.

I appreciate that most of you guys are always respectful in the comments. You can tell me who is your favourite Boss and why, but be assured that I know all these Bosses well enough and I know why Sister Friede is my number one and it will not change anytime soon.

2) Why do I love Friede more than other Bosses?

Elfriede is the most complete Boss in From Software's catalogue in my opinion. She has everything and does everything great.
First of all, she represents my favourite Boss archetype - human Boss with very unique moveset and smart AI and practical usage of all combat mechanics.

She has three phases and each of them does its job perfectly.
First phase is a great introduction and prepares you for the second and especially third phase. This part of fight is the most calm, which allows you to properly learn how her mechanics work - how to backstab Friede and how to track her during invisibility mode.

Second phase is the best duo fight and it tests your perceptivity, strategic sense and cleverness. You can attack both Friede and Ariandel, depends on which of them is easier to attack in certain moment. Ariandel takes more damage and leaves many wide openings, but Friede is parryable and you can backstab her, which isn't difficult. The most optimal is to attack them alternately.

Third phase is the ultimate duel that pushes you to your limits of skill and knowledge, and is still one of the most complex Bosses in Soulsborne games. I love how stylish and relentless (and not less cinematic than all these flashy Bosses done only for spectacle purpose) is her moveset and that it never gets repetitive, unlike most of other DS3 Bosses.

Friede is not only a phenomenal and fun Boss to fight, but also amazing unforgettable experience. I love interactions with her before fight, it creates strong first impression and we can see her undeniable influence on the Painted World. Every creature in this place either serve her or fear her, either love her or hate her (just like in the community, you rarely see a person, that has nothing to say about Friede, or is indifferent towards her. She evokes strong emotions). Elfriede is one the most badass Bosses in these games, especially the first cutscene in Boss fight always gives me goosebumps, when she enters the Chapel and runs her hand along the blade of a scythe. Second phase is so intense and drastic, it even changes the whole arena. Music becomes louder and slaps harder, which fits so well to the next two phases.
When you beat the second phase for the first time ever, your jaw will most likely drop within the next 15-20 seconds. At least that's what happened to me. Blackflame Friede doesn't need to finish you, as emotional damage of this moment is more than enough to do it earlier. I have many more things to say about Friede, but the description will be too long and no one is going to read it anyway. So just let me sum it up that Elfriede is a Boss that made me fall in love in Souls games and she also solidified me in that feeling and belief, and fully convinced me that this series is a masterpiece.

3) How can I re-fight Friede so frequently?
I'm currently playing on console (PS5) and I'm using a back-up of save file, either from PS+ cloud or pendrive (I highly recommend pendrive, because cloud sometimes overwrites the save). I reload it every time I beat Elfriede.

4) When will I finish this series?
Not before the release of a next From Software Souls game. If by some miracle I don't upload a single video with Friede for the entire week, it means that either my console is broken or I am physically unable to play.
