A new study reveals that 90% of Kenyans have seen or heard false news about the 2017 general election. According to the report of a research conducted by Geopoll and Portland communications, 87% of those polled have encountered and have reported instances of deliberately false – or fake – news. While many would feel the urge to forward " as received " information especially on social media platforms, experts are now warning over the negative impact of hitting 'send' and spreading such information while insisting on verification first.
