FireFly Metals Ltd (ASX:FFM) managing director Steve Parsons spoke with Proactive’s Tylah Tully about the company’s latest drilling results from the Green Bay Copper-Gold Project in Newfoundland, Canada, including its best intercepts to date.
Parsons highlighted an exceptional hole with 86 metres at 3.7% copper equivalent, including a high-grade interval of 27 metres at 5.5% copper equivalent.
These results extend beyond the existing resource, which currently stands at 60 million tonnes at 2% copper equivalent.
FireFly Metals has four drill rigs active on-site, with three focused on stepping out from the known resource.
New results are expected by year-end or early January, adding to the company’s momentum.
FireFly is also planning infill drilling to upgrade the resource to measured and indicated categories for economic assessments. A surface drill rig will soon begin exploration targeting new discoveries around the historical mine area.
With more than $88 million in cash, FireFly Metals is well-positioned for a dynamic 2025.
Parsons stated, “It’s drill, drill, drill,” emphasising the company’s focus on expanding the resource and uncovering further high-grade mineralization at Green Bay.
