The illusion Pond 1 at Williamthorpe has evaded anglers rigs for years and a few years ago it became part of the Williamthorpe AC catalogue. Meaning you can fish it for its Huge Bream and Oak Carved Carp.
I’ve seen photos of Bream in the high teens from here when night anglers on pond 2 would put a 3rd rod out behind their peg and into this mysterious lake. Absolute monsters!!
Around 60% of the fishery is unreachable for anglers by foot, but it doesn’t mean you can’t exercise the whole water.
A very attractive specialist water and a fishery I’d love to see thrive in years to come.
A few niggly bits to pick up on but I’m sure the club will have it glowing in no time.
