But if it’s quality over quantity you seek, why not try ski touring and get back to the essence of what makes skiing great – the feeling of freedom in the out of doors, the sense of accomplishment that comes from a challenge and the pure joy of cutting fresh tracks through pristine snow. There’s no better place to become acquainted with ski touring than where it’s a way of life – Europe. Marcus Caston warms up his touring kit in the very place it originated, Norway, before taking on a bigger challenge in the massively intimidating French Alps. Marcus teams up with Chamonix native Aurelian Ducroz and a pair of former World Cup racers (and ski touring rookies) Mattias Hargin and Erin Mielzynski, to face one of the region’s most noteworthy objectives.
