The book of Psalms was compiled by David, the King that was known as a man after God's own heart. Psalms is full of emotional appeals, prayers and songs to God. The beautiful things about the book of Psalms is that even though David himself wrote many of them, even though God loved him with a favor not seen before, David still failed, sinned and was human. The book of Psalms can remind us of God's great mercy because even with all his failings and imperfections, God loved that David sought Him daily, required His counsel with every decision.
As you go through your day today, seek God's wisdom, and He will reveal to you not only the wisdom you need but the mercy your soul thirsts for.
