Physiotherapist Louise Kenworthy came to the Neuro Carers group session on 8th of August.
In this video, she is sharing breathing exercises, as well as meditation and relaxation tips.
Having grown up in Suffolk, Louise trained at Guy’s Hospital in London and started her career at Nottingham University Hospital. Her passion and interest in neurology rehabilitation grew steadily through her experience of working with stroke survivors and involvement in clinical research trials in Parkinson’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis.
Louise is passionate about sharing these health benefits with her patients and clients, ensuring her yoga practice is accessible to everyone, no matter what age or state of health.
She is keen to work with the Brain and Spine Foundation to introduce Yoga and its benefits.
Her passion for yoga has grown over the years and has been cemented by the overwhelming medical research and evidence supporting the benefits of yoga.
These benefits include:
• Reducing symptoms of stress and anxiety
• Aiding better quality and more restful sleep
• Improved strength and flexibility
