Rantau Abang is located about 70km south of Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia, along the coast of South China Sea. Once the famed landing site of leatherback turtles, remnants of its past can be viewed in its Aquatic Biodiversity Gallery. The Gallery houses skeletal remains of whales and a specimen of a dugong, among others.
