Hey guys! Hope you’re all having a great day! Now, for today’s video, I thought it’d be a good idea to go into detail about a certain character’s origins in the Jurassic Park Universe. A character who’s popularity appears to have grown to nearly the same heights as that of Alan Grant or even Ian Malcolm. I’m of course talking about Roland, the African Big-Game Hunter from The Lost World. Even though he was only featured in a single Jurassic Park film before his untimely death in 2011, Pete Postlethwaite’s Roland Tembo seems to have resonated with several audience members and become somewhat of an iconic part of the series history. In this video, we’ll be discussing where exactly the idea for Roland Tembo comes from, what kind of person he really was as well as, his similarities and differences with other prominent Jurassic Park characters in the series.
