Iraq's parliament is expected to hold discussions on a formal budget, after it failed to pass one in 2020, due to political uncertainty and the coronavirus outbreak which dented prices in its crucial oil sector.
Years of deadlock have resulted in basic government functions being passed by emergency decree.
Iraq's economic woes led to the devaluation of the dinar by more than 20 percent in December last year.
