CORRECTION: Each shipment of the Sinovac vaccine to Malaysia contains 200 litres of vaccine, which is sufficient to produce between 317,000 to 320,000 doses and not 200,000 doses as mentioned in the video. KiniTV regrets this discrepancy.
"How complicated can it be to put some liquid into a little glass bottle? When you're dealing with potentially lifesaving vaccines, it can be a very delicate process.
Malaysia put its best foor forward when we began importing the Sinovac Covid-19 Vaccine from China in bulk to be bottled locally. KiniTV was recently given a tour of the facility in Puchong, Selangor where Pharmaniaga Lifescience Sdn. Bhd. is conducting the fill-and-finish operation on this imported vaccine to be used in the National Covid-19 Vaccination Plan.
Sinovac is one of five Covid-19 vaccines currently approved for use in Malaysia at the time of publication. While Malaysia continues to import filled vials from China, the fill-and-finish operations locally provide a better supply of vaccines for that national inoculation."
