iDVR-PRO uses H.264 video compression to preserve HD video footage in ultra high quality. When setting up motion detection recording, each camera's frame rate (FPS), resolution, and video quality can be individually set. Pre and post-motion recording time can also be setup.
In addition to traditional motion detection recording, iDVR-PRO surveillance DVRs support "intensive motion detection recording".
Intensive motion detection recording allows users to configure different video settings for continuous recording and motion detection recording. This is typically configured so that continuous recording uses a much lower frame rate than motion recording, which can conserve a considerable amount of hard drive space.
Search and playback of motion recorded video is simple with iDVR-PRO. Users can access a video timeline that shows areas of video that were recorded via motion detection. Users can select any time from the timeline scrubber to start recorded video playback from that point.
In addition to supporting recorded video playback directly from the DVR, iDVR-PRO also supports video playback from Windows and Mac desktop software. Android and iPhone apps also support remote playback.
