The 13th National People's Congress (NPC), China's highest organ of state power, opened the fourth session on Friday morning at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, and other Chinese leaders were among the nearly 3,000 NPC deputies present at the opening.
