About the anthem:
The "Hymn to Liberty", or "Hymn to Freedom" is a poem written by Dionysios Solomos in 1823 that consists of 158 stanzas and is used as the national anthem of Greece and Cyprus. It was set to music by Nikolaos Chalikiopoulos Mantzaros in 1865 and is the longest national anthem in the world by length of text.
About the composers:
Dionysios Solomos (1798 – 1857) was a Greek poet from Zakynthos, who is considered to be Greece's national poet. He is best known for writing the Hymn to Liberty.
Nikolaos Chalikiopoulos Mantzaros (1795 – 1872) was a Greek-Italian composer born in Corfu. His most popular composition remains the musical setting for the poem of Dionysios Solomos' Ýmnos eis tīn Eleutherían (Hymn to Liberty).
