Jardin des Plantes is a Botanical Garden.
Ordered by the French king Louis XIII in 1635, the Jardin des Plantes was used as a medicinal herb garden.
Inside Jardin des Plantes you will discover several kinds of gardens:
- French Garden part
- English Garden part
- Labyrinth – the Maze
- Mountain botanical garden (Alpine Garden)
- Vegetable garden – Potager (the kitchen garden)
- Floral garden
- Insects' garden (butterflies and bees)
