If you have ever run across an issue where a particular update wont install or maybe you never have the option for the latest update shown in your Windows Update section on your computer then you can use the Windows Update Assistant to manually install the latest updates. Once you download and run the tool it will go out and download and install the latest updates from Microsoft and your computer will then have the most current patches.
