Even before the bomb scares across the country this week, bomb technicians with the FBI in Milwaukee were on high alert for homemade bombs.
About a month ago, the FBI invited a WISN 12 News crew exclusively to a secluded training field. The FBI and bomb squads from Kenosha County, Milwaukee County and Milwaukee police set off bombs and explosives.
They wanted to show how dangerous and powerful homemade bombs are.
The special agents say more people are making bombs in Wisconsin than in the past. One reason could be because of all the information available online.
The FBI bomb technicians also work with six local bomb squads in Wisconsin.
