The boys spend a day in Bridgnorth in 1980. We walk along the river, around the alleys and steep streets, seeing all the beautiful old buildings, including Bishop Percy's House, home of the Bridgnorth Boys Club from the 1940s until 2003. The Old Town Hall, people painting the black and white timbered buildings, St Mary's Church, the Castle and park. Then Dad just had to spend some time watching the trains on the Severn Valley Railway at Bridgnorth Station. Then more wandering around, we see some of the old metal insurance plaques mounted on the walls of buildings, which are probably long gone now 40 years later. A quick sit down, and then it's back to the river and a ride on the cliff railway, with wondeful views across the bridge and the River Severn.
