Saint Mihiel - Pagny-sur-Meuse

The canal is very narrow here. Trees hanging over and there seems to be a lack of maintenance here. The waterlevel is at its lowest and we hear the Canal des Ardennes is already closed. We need to speed up to get to Toul. We’re supposed to be ‘save’ there for the low waterlevel. We hit the bottoms a few times and we can only sail about 3 knots p/h. Sometimes even less. It’s hot and we get a little tired. When we arrive in Pagny we see some of the other boats that also teamed up in Dun-sur-Meuse.
