The Song Kasko Bajyo Baansuri is written and directed by my father Shri Kaajee Singh. The original song is actually sung by Poornima- Sushama Shreshtha and karan. along with Timi ta raichau mangaley gaon ko and Maaryoni Kanchile; this song was in the same EP record and was recorded at HMV Mumbai in the year 1979.

About Music Director- Shri Kaajee Singh (Father)
Kaajee Singh ‘Vidyarthee’ born in the year 25th July 1945 was a gift for his father Mardalaacharya Late Indrajeet Singh Sardaar and mother Mohanphul Singh. He belongs to the Traditional Classic form of Folk Music family, since three generations in the Queen of hills Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. He had a very keen interest in Folk Culture and Music since his childhood as both of his paternal and maternal family used to practice the culture. He also had interest in Aadhunik Music and started writing lyrics and composed his first song in the year 1956. He started a Musicians Club cum Library in his village Phoobsering T.E. and inspired people to join music and participate in various events organized by him in his hometown in special occasions.
Kaajee Singh started his career as a Maadal player assisting Laxmikant Pyarelal at Film Industry, Mumbai in the year 1973-1983. He passed an audition recommended by Laxmikant Pyarelal and started playing Paschimey Maadal in various Films in Bollywood. He became a life member as well as top graded Maadal player in Industry very soon. He had a wonderful experience to work with great Music Directors like Ram Laxman, Kalyanji Anandji, Ajay Swami, Ravindra Jain, etc. he also had an opportunity to work with Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Dr. L. Subramanium, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Ustad Nizzammudin Khan, Manas Mukherjee, Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhonsle, Poornima Shrestha, Sadhana Sargam, Suresh Wadkar and many more stalwart Music director’s/Musicians and singers of Bollywood, Film Industry.

Both of these talented singer belong to Sikkim and are doing really well in the field of popular music in India and Nepal. They run a Youtube channel and have produced numerous music albums from their private compani Vaani Music.
