Cody M. Tingle, MD, is an internal medicine physician at Willis-Knighton's Internal Medicine Associates in Shreveport, Louisiana. His medical career began as a hospitalist where he treated hospital patients who needed emergency healthcare. His interest in following patients over longer periods and through lifestyle changes motivated the transition to his office practice today.
Dr. Tinger is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from C.E. Byrd High School and LSU Shreveport where he majored in cell and molecular biology. His first year of medical education began at Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK, where he received a Diploma of Higher Education with Commendation in Medical Sciences. He continued medical school at St. George’s University Medical School in St. George’s, Grenada.
Years three and four of his medical education included clerkships in various specialties in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Tingle’s training continued with an internal medicine residency at LSU Health Shreveport. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His memberships include Shreveport Medical Society, American College of Physicians and American College of Gastroenterology.
