We drive over Falzarego & Valparola Pass on a great summer day at route SS48 and SS24.
The Falzarego Pass is a mountain pass located in the Dolomites in the province of Belluno. The pass connects Livinallongo del Col di Lana with Cortina d'Ampezzo and is thus in the Ladin-speaking area. A few kilometers northeast of the pass you meet the road over the Valparola Pass.

Right next to the pass are the ruins of the Austrian border fort Tre Sassi, which was part of the First World War's Alpine front.
