Farmers Weekly's arable reporter Emma Gillbard head to Denmark to meet farmer Niels-Erik Halgaard, at Nørre Halgaard, Holstebro. The potato harvest began on 1 September. Unlike the UK, the majority of potatoes grown in Denmark are processed into potato starch flour for food manufacturing, rather than consumed fresh. We find out about the potato yields and what farmers in Denmark are paid.
