(15 Mar 2022) New waves of exhausted refugees from Ukraine arrived by train at the Polish border town of Przemysl on Tuesday.
They were welcomed by volunteers at the town's train station who provided them with food and other help as the new arrivals recovered from their long journey.
Marina Solonenko, 35, reached Przemysl after travelling from Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city. "Everything is bombed," she said. "The city is destroyed."
More than 2.8 million refugees have left Ukraine since the invasion began, triggering what the U.N. has called Europe's biggest refugee crisis since World War II.
