With just a little over six months in office, Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele is now facing a motion of no confidence. The motion notice was formally issued last week by the Central Honiara MP and Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, Gordon Darcy Lilo. If and when the motion is included in the order paper, it will be treated as priority business for Parliament, taking precedence over other government matters. As we near the end of the year, a priority issue currently before Parliament is the 2025 budget. We now take to the streets to hear what people are saying about the motion of no confidence before Parliament.
