Sarah was born with bilateral microtia and atresia. She originally had bilateral Porous Implant Ear Reconstruction (PIER) surgery in 2008, with Medpor implants. In 2021, Sarah did a "remove and replace" to swap out the compromised old two piece implant for a one piece Lewin Ear Implant by SuPor. She agrees the new implant looks "so much better" just a few days after surgery.
