This shows an infestation by another common orchid pest, SCALE. This is an insect that is brown coloured, the size of a pinhead and shaped like a bun. It lays eggs and secretes sticky fluids which show on the leaves as a shiny sticky material or powdery dried patches. Treatment is with rubbing alcohol ( Isopropyl alchol ) obtained from a drug store. I will continue with more videos on its treatment and response to treatment.
