Our Amazon adventure begins when we left the high altitudes of Quito to slowly make our way down to the basin of the rainforest. Passing through the cloud forests in between make this journey a very picturesque one. Even more thrilling was when we got to our jump off point to the Itamandi Ecolodge, it was already dark and we still have to take a 15 minute boat ride to get there!
