State Republican lawmakers and candidates unveiled a set of promises on Wednesday to urge voters to rethink who they send to the state Capitol in the upcoming election. The group said it wants to bring balance and accountability back to the state Legislature, which has been in the grip of a Democratic supermajority the last two election cycles. That supermajority has done the decision-making for state policies and spending. "We need to make a change here in Sacramento," Senate Republican leader Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, said.
