Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i is a man in trouble should he fail to prove that his home was raided by police officers seeking to arrest him as alleged. The Director of Public Prosecution is to this end moving to court to sue Matiang’i for relating his alleged tribulations to president William Ruto in his sworn affidavit that has seen him granted an anticipatory bail barring police officers from arresting him. In a fresh twist of events however, Interior CS Kithure Kindiki, EACC CEO Twalib Mbarak, and DCI boss Mohamed Amin have all denied sending their officers to arrest Matiang’i. Kenya Kwanza MPs have claimed that Kenyans were treated to theatrics in last night’s events.
