The Food Better Symposium was held on October 3, 2015 to explore the food system's four primary categories: production, marketing and distribution, nutrition, and waste. Hear from area experts and Harvard-affiliated speakers about how they are working to Food Better or innovate within the topic areas.
The Symposium was the official launch event for the Food Better Campaign, a year-long campaign to focus the Harvard community on the food system and how to improve it – how to grow better, eat better, shop better, conserve better . . . how to Food Better. The Harvard Innovation Lab is hosting a year-long Dean’s Food System Challenge, in which students from across the university are invited to develop innovative solutions to make our food system more healthy and sustainable. In conjunction with the Challenge, the Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic, Harvard University Dining Services, Food Literacy Project, and Harvard Office for Sustainability are opening a year-long, community-wide dialogue about how we can Food Better, which will include events, field trips and more.
