Hey Guys
I have 2012 Toyota Tundra 5.7 and it has been having problem cold starting. If the engine has been cooled off for 3~4 hours it will have extended crank. So I drove to dealer to get my ECM upgrade, but they ran my vin number and told me that my car is not in the recall. Not every 2012 model is in the recall. So I checked my fuel pump, which is fine and my mechanic told me to disconnect the coolant temperature sensor to see if it starts and it does~!. I asked reason and he told me coolant temperature sensor gives feedback to ECM how cold it is and decides how much fuel it needs to fire up the engine. I know many of Tundra owner's having this problem so I suggest check your coolant temperature sensor. oh and I'm sorry for bad English accent, I'm not from the states, I'm from South Korea.
Thanks for watching
