Stephen M. Lyon is an anthropologist who has carried out field research in rural and urban Pakistan since 1998. He is the professor of #anthropology at the Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilization at the #agakhan #university (International) in #london and now the inaugural #dean of Faculty of #Arts and #Sciences at the Aga Khan University, #karachi. Earlier, he was the chair of the Department of Anthropology at #durham University and the Deputy Director of the Durham #globalsecurity Institute . He is the author of numerous #publications on #kinship , #conflict , #computational #methods , and #environmental anthropology in #Pakistan. He has carried out applied anthropological #research in collaboration with different development organizations based in Pakistan, the #unitedkingdom , and the #unitedstates .
