On Wednesday, March 10, the Scowcroft Institute of International Affairs at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University hosted Dr. Matthew Kroenig. Kroenig spoke on his recent book, The Return of Great Power Rivalry: Democracy Versus Autocracy from the Ancient World to the U.S. and China. He is a professor of government and foreign service at Georgetown University. He is also the Deputy Director of the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security. A 2019 study in Perspectives on Politics ranked him as one of the top 25 most cited political scientists of his generation.
