Ricin is produced from the castor plant, and Abrin is produced by the rosary pea plant. They both work the same, by preventing you cells from making new proteins which are the building blocks for cells. Its a slow death because your cells already have enough proteins in reserve to survive, but once those are used and metabolized your in trouble.
