To get a captains license with US Captain's Training students create an account in our online captains license classroom. After creating an account students enroll in the four modules which they must complete to earn their captains license. The four modules are; Rules of the Road, Navigation General, Chart Navigation, and Deck General. Once students complete the four module they are ready to test for their captains license in person at one of US Captain's Training's testing locations. Once testing for your captains license is completed in person your student file will be mailed to US Captain's Training and we will process it and mail out certificates of completion to the student. Student send the certificates of training in with their USCG application packet. The certificates of training work instead of testing with the US Coast Guard (USCG) at the Regional Exam Center (REC). When the USCG receives the students captains license application packet they will process it and issue a captains license. Expect a wait time of approximately two weeks if your packet has been filled out and submitted correctly.
