Whilst surveying the seagrass and maerl beds in Veryan Bay as part of Cornwall Wildlife Trust's blue carbon mapping work
Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Seasearch divers have been surveying the seagrass and maerl beds in Veryan Bay as part of the Trust's blue carbon mapping work (funded by the G7 Legacy Project for Nature Recovery).
Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Conservation Manager and Seasearch diver Tom Shelley, along with dive buddy Angie Gall, spotted a short-snouted seahorse on one of their dives!
These amazing fish are rarely recorded in Cornish waters, let alone filmed! However, they are a little camera shy and are a protected species. If you’re lucky enough to spot one, please be careful not to disturb it, never use flash photography and remember to report it to Cornwall Wildlife Trust at [ Ссылка ]
